"Grace is the face loves wears when it meets imperfection"
Grace really does change everything. Showing it to ourselves, others, and eventually the world we live in is huge. I believe and have experienced how grace can move mountains and make the impossible possible. Grace makes space for hope to be born!
Michael currently holds a Master of Arts in Counseling from Western Seminary and a Master of Arts in Biblical Studies from Cincinnati Christian University. After serving in pastoral ministry for over 20 years as well as working in addiction recovery for 10 years, I bring a unique, caring, and compassionate perspective into counseling. My passion is to journey alongside those who are troubled, hurting, and exhausted in a way that provides healing and hope. My theory base is Solution Focused Therapy as well as Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and Narrative Therapy.
Outside the office, I enjoy time with my family, throwing clay, and riding my motorcycle throughout the northwest.

Brian Shannon, MA, lpc
(Brian accepts some health insurance plans)
Are you struggling with a lack of purpose, resentments, anxiety, or self-doubt? Do you wonder if you have what it takes to thrive in the world? Are you perhaps stuck in an endless loop of unwanted sexual behavior or reeling from the gut punch of betrayal? Don't lose heart! I can help! Born from the trenches of my own healing journey, my gift is helping others who feel broken and filled with shame find freedom, healing, and wholeness.
We all have a story often fraught with pain, even trauma, which prevents us from overcoming obstacles and achieving our goals. I am dedicated to helping you navigate any challenge and relationship difficulties with empathy and expertise. My goal is to provide a safe, judgment-free space where you can be more fully seen and known leading you to a more fulfilling, balanced life.
As we discover reconnection with our true selves and experience being genuinely seen by another without shame, we have a greater capacity to know and live into our calling, and engage in life-giving relationships. It is my belief this is where real transformation begins.
My Narrative-Focused Trauma Care model emphasizes the framework of stories to better understand and engage the heartbreaking realities of trauma and abuse and their impact on relationships. Together we will change the world one story at a time, starting with yours.
